In fitness, getting started is half the battle, and making time is the other half. But the benefits of staying active are absolutely worth the effort.

Julianne Aerhee Byun knows exactly how to make a fitness plan and stick to it. Ask her and she’ll tell you that by blocking off time in your calendar and surrounding yourself with the right people you’re much more likely to keep it up.

And she’s one to know. Julianne has spent a lifetime setting challenging but achievable fitness goals – and knows what it takes to see them through.

“Tracking your training is a great way to see how far you’ve come– and to inspire you to keep on pushing”

A yoga instructor and marketing director at Miami’s Green Monkey Studios, Julianne has a background in dance, including a position with Miami HEAT. She holds a degree in PR and exercise physiology from the University of Miami.

Inspired by Julianne’s go-getting ways, we caught up with her to talk about how to make our own goals a reality. After talking to Julianne and doing some research of our own, we’ve built a quick-and-easy guide to planning your fitness routine – and getting the most out of it.
Here are our tips for how to make a fitness plan and stick to it:

Find your fitness tribe.

Going it alone works for some, but finding a like-minded community will help. Fitness partners inspire you to stay accountable to your fitness routine – while keeping things fun. Don’t know where to start? Try the Drinkfinity community. We have plenty of fitness lovers!

Schedule your workouts.

Putting your workout in your calendar makes it all the more likely you’ll stick with it. We recommend scheduling a regular (and reasonable) time for a workout for best results.

Set goals.

Every great plan has goals. They give you something to strive for and keep you motivated. Try setting a large goal as well as a series of smaller milestones: this helps monitor your progress. Don’t forget to celebrate when you meet each milestone!

Push through plateaus.

Fitness is a journey, and sticking with it is how you get results. If you’re feeling stuck, try changing up your workouts or training with someone new. Tracking your training is a great way to see how far you’ve come – and to inspire you to keep on pushing.

Stay hydrated.

Working out means working up a sweat. Drinkfinity Renew helps you replace what you’ve lost in sweat while being active. The Electrolytes in Drinkfinity Renew Pods help the body stay hydrated from vigorous physical activity or being exposed to extremely hot or humid environments.
